One of the most bizarre cities, as it's build on the principle of asymmetry. Every building and street is designed to confuse the visitors. A seemingly random mash-up of structures are all bundled together, as the city lacks any sort of map, creating a dark and treacherous maze.
Everything is poorly illuminated, especially the side streets. Those that travel to Akrai without a native guide are sure to be lost, even people that relocate here usually just stick to designated tourist areas which have proper lighting and guards who can direct them in the right direction.
Some of the houses and streets are even built with weird inclines and optical illusions which can make navigation even more difficult. Only a true native that grew up in these streets can properly move around.
