The Divine Order of Molthune
Molthune is a nation that demands order — from its citizens, its soldiers, and its gods. The divine pantheon of Molthune reflects this: gods of law, civilization, commerce, and martial discipline hold prominence, while wilder or more chaotic faiths are tolerated but rarely celebrated.
The Molthuni relationship with faith is practical. Gods are respected for what they provide — Erastil, The Old Deadeye feeds the countryside, Abadar, the Master of the First Vault fills the treasury, Iomedae, the Inheritor steels the legions, and Asmodeus, the Prince of Darkness... well, Asmodeus keeps certain wheels turning that polite society prefers not to examine too closely. Even the memory of dead Aroden, the Last Azlanti lingers here, less as worship and more as a reminder that even gods can fail.
The Molthuni Pantheon
- Erastil, The Old Deadeye — God of family, farming, hunting, and trade. The oldest faith in rural Molthune.
- Abadar, the Master of the First Vault — God of cities, law, merchants, and wealth. The beating heart of Canorate's commerce.
- Asmodeus, the Prince of Darkness — God of contracts, pride, slavery, and tyranny. Chelish influence runs deep.
- Aroden, the Last Azlanti — The dead god. His prophecies failed, his church crumbled, but his shadow still shapes Molthuni identity.
- Iomedae, the Inheritor — Goddess of honor, justice, rulership, and valor. Aroden's successor and the shield of the righteous.
