Description
Elves are a magical people of otherworldly grace, Elves love nature and magic, art and artistry, music and poetry, and the good things of the world.Elves are one of the driving races in the lands of Arda. While their population is not as high as humans, their contribution to civilization is higher. Three races were given considerably long lifespans. These were the Elves, the Gnomes and the Dwarves. These long lifespans allowed those races to accumulate knowledge and experience without much loss. It was not a coincidence that Elves were so attuned and proficient with magic, Gnomes became the best inventors and Dwarves master crafters and miners. With one's death, a big part of their knowledge and experience is lost. Even when accounting for teaching and written journals, one's knowledge and experiences can only retain a fraction through those means. It didn't take long for Elven magic to surpass all others' , for Elven teachers to become the most sought after and the Elven libraries to be worth more than nations' treasure vaults.Origins
Laia was the main creator of the Elven race, with Andralte and Luthien adding some touches.
Lifespan
Elves have a lifespan of around 750 years, with some exceptional ones reaching up to a 1000.
