Oromne was once a feared and revered deity among the evil aligned gods in the Lands of Arda. He embodied power, endurance, and vengeance, and was known for his hunting abilities. He worked closely with the goddess Izalith, and together they wrought terror and destruction across the world. Oromne and Izalith were called the "Twin-Gods" by mortals in the first era, as they often appeared together and looked very alike. Oromne was still considered the least evil of the Silver group and was perceived simply as a "wild beast". Things did not stay like that for long though. After Dominaria joined the Silver group and Izalith started spending more and more time with her, Oromne's motivation faltered and felt betrayed. After isolating himself for a while, he then expressed his desire to leave. The other Silver fragments did not oppose this change and Izalith seemed to not care at all. Oromne's feelings turned towards hatred, targeted at Dominaria whose appearance seemed to have stolen his partner. As he joined the Emerald group, he maintained a stance of neutrality, while secretly trying to thwart Dominaria's plans in any way he could.
Oromne tranformed into the patron of hunters, executioners, bounty hunters, hermits who dislike society, pilgrims and travelers. He is a symbol of self-reliance, survival of the fittest and vengeance. His most known creation are werewolves, a creature made to hunt and destroy Izalith's children, Неизвестно . All werewolves feel a deep connection to their god and obey each and every command of his.
Celebrations
In some areas of Arda, where hunting is a dominant activity, an event called "Night of the Hunt" takes place every year, at the last day of summer. On this night, devout followers of Oromne gather to engage in hunting, fishing, and other survivalist activities to pay homage to their deity. The night is also marked by large bonfires, dancing, and feasting. The hunting aspect of the event is particularly important, as it symbolizes Oromne's association with power, endurance, and retribution. Participants compete in hunting and fishing contests, with the winners being awarded special blessings and gifts from the god. Some even say that those who are successful on this night are granted with increased power and endurance in the coming year. The Night of the Hunt is also seen as a time for retribution, as Oromne is believed to use the night to seek out those who have wronged his followers. Those who participate in the event are encouraged to seek out their own enemies and bring them to justice. This aspect of the event is not without its controversy, as some see it as an excuse for violence and revenge, while others view it as a necessary step in maintaining balance and order in the world. Regardless of their views on the event, all who celebrate the Night of the Hunt share a deep connection to the god Oromne, and believe that by paying homage to him on this night, they will be granted his protection and blessings in the coming year.
