Vermillion, the Emerald King, is the leader of the neutral aligned fragments. He is the god of curiosity, the unknown, dreams, memories and the desire to expand knowledge. He's also the most distant deity towards the mortal races, very rarely appearing in front of them. The majority of his appearances have been through visions or dreams, to his faithful. Vermillion has maintained a stance of neutrality between Maldos and Zeriax, believing that mortal races need both good and evil attributes, in order for them to evolve. Many of the unexplained events or mysteries of Arda are often attributed to Vermillion, believing that the Emerald King is testing and observing the mortals' behavior when they come in contact with unexplainable events. When the War that broke the world peaked, he took the remaining Emerald Fragments and left this world, retreating back to the Divine Realm. He has always been passive and calm, only showing anger when Refelia was sad or threatened. Mortals perceived this as love between them, referring them as couple and naming them King and Queen. As none of the Fragments denied that, mortals took it as a sign that is the truth and has been recorded as such through history. Many of Vermillion's followers consists of scholars, researchers, philosophers and adventurers who seek the thrill of exploration. Some mortals claim that the forbidden island God's Garden is Vermillion's sanctum and a sign from him of an invitation to the unknown.
