Description

When the world was still being shaped by the 12 Fragments (Deities), many of the races created were place in nearby lands. Some speculating that this decision was taken because the rest of the world was still being formed, others claim it was an experiment to see how races would interact with each other. Regardless of the reasoning, soon after, things were not going well. One race was made with very aggressive and violent behaviors. As soon as they got used to the life of this world, they turned against the other races, attempting to enslave, kill and pillage everything. They were naturally strong and durable, reckless and aggressive. Often they refused to communicate back when talked to, instead they offered a guttural sound as a reply. That reply meant something to them, but nothing to the rest of the races. Later it was found that this reply was the equivalent "you're not strong enough to be worthy of talking to you". The name of their race came from that reply, as it sounded like "ohrgh" and was simplified to "orc". Seeing all the destruction and death orcs had caused to their creations, the other fragments forced Zeriax to place them in an isolated land for the time being, as it was unfair to have his orcs kill their children when the world was not ready yet. With the orcs killing indiscriminately, even races created by other evil gods, Zeriax was outnumbered in this debate and had to comply. Orcs were moved into a barren and underdeveloped part of the world, which had no name. It was later known as the Savage Lands, taking its name of the savage orcs roaming on it.

Orcs have similar basic anatomy with humans with few very notable differences. They are naturally broader, more muscular with large hands and feet. They feature green or brown hued skin, tusks protruding from their lips and point ears.

Origins

Zeriax created the Orc race and is said that they are his main source of divinity in this world, both from prayers in his name but also the death they cause.

Genetics

Orcs have a natural tendency towards evil alignments, but switch freely in the law vs chaos axis. Although some manage to a change a bit towards good, every orc feels the call to destruction from within. Resisting those urges becomes a torment that only very few have managed to endure.

Lifespan

Average lifespan of an Orc is 50 years. Few make it to old age.
