Description

When the fragments were close to finalizing their creations, both landscapes, creatures and mortal sentient races, debates and conflicts began. Even good gods don't always play nice when they know the evil gods will definitely not. Being of unfathomable power clashed on the land, at the skies, even at the seas. What was later explained as a verbal argument by two gods, was perceived as violent clashing of energies, followed by earthquakes and thunderstorms. Setting up their own creations with perfect conditions would ensure a steady flow of faith and prayers, the essential food for the fragments' power. Every fragment wanted that, and most of them were willing to spread reckless destruction to achieve it. Despite the protection of Arda's children, the dragons, countless creatures died from the divine war. Cities were accidentally burnt, rivers froze or ran dry, landscapes were violently up heaved, and entire populations decimated by exposure to lethal doses of magic bursts.

Just as the world was created, it was broken.

Consequences

That level of destruction forced many races to hide underground or seek protection from dragons. Not all dragons agreed without anything in return. Some populations ended up surviving the destruction, but racking generations of debt to a dragon. Others that were forced deep below the surface, had their life completely changed and by the time they resurfaced, they were considerably different.

Notable Participants

The war ended in a stalemate between the gold and silver fragments, while the emerald ones departed before its climax. It's speculated that the war would have lasted much longer, if not for the Legendary Heroes, that rose up and entered the fray, to attempt to put a stop to that war, by displaying power worth of notice. The diving battling sides, witnessed the newfound mortal prowess and were impressed. Although those heroes had no real chance of killing those gods, as they simply cannot be killed outside their Divine Realm, they dealt blows that even the gods could feel. That made them stop momentarily, and then they realized all the destruction they have caused to the new planet. Seeing that further conflict would not benefit either side, the gods thanked the heroes for stopping them, and shortly after departed from Arda, back to their realm.
