Blade's Music Hall

Balancing Magic Item

Flavor

Holding this scabbard in close to your ear, you can hear faint music echoing from inside it as if it was vast hall. The scabbard is magical and takes the shape of a sword you leave next to it for 1 hour.

Benefits

You gain proficiency with the greatsword, the nodachi, the orcish cleaver and the double-blade scimitar.

You have one more available fighting style option: Superior Technique.

Improved Blade Flourish. Your flourishes get the following improvements:

Slashing Flourish. Every creature within 5 feet of you takes the extra damage.

Mobile Flourish v2. You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to cause the weapon to deal extra damage to the target you hit. The damage equals the number you roll on the Bardic Inspiration die. If you also move at least 20 feet in a straight line, creatures adjacent to the squares you passed through take the same extra damage. Creatures that make opportunity attacks against you, take damage equal to your Bard level.

Level 6

At level 6 you gain the Noise weapon feature. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Noise weapon. You imbue a weapon you touch with musical power. Until the spell ends, the weapon produces loud music or noise. In addition, weapon attacks made with it deal an extra 2d6 thunder damage on a hit. If the weapon isn’t already a magic weapon, it becomes one for the duration.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can dismiss this spell and cause the weapon to produce a burst of deafening noise. Each creature of your choice that you can see within 60 feet of the weapon must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 thunder damage, and it is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t deafened. At the end of each of its turns, a deafened creature can make a Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Level 14

True Master's Flourish. The free die you get to use instead of your Bardic Inspiration dice, is instead a d10. It becomes a d12 at level 18.
