Welcome to our Should-Have-Never-Existed Potion Creation Contest! I'm excited to see your creativity in action as you come up with hilarious and unique potions for D&D 5e. Here are the rules and guidelines to help you get started.
Contest Duration
- Start Date: August 1st
- End Date: August 31st
Submission Guidelines
- Platform: Submissions must be made in Kanka using the provided template.
- Template: Use the Potion Template (you click on the cogwheel and select Copy) provided in Kanka for your entries. Before Saving it, select the "Potion Template" as Parent folder.
Requirements
- Theme: The potion should be humorous and add a fun twist to the game. Think of effects like making the drinker burp every time they cast a spell or causing them to speak in rhymes for an hour.
- Balance: Potions should not be too over-the-top. Avoid effects that drastically alter gameplay, such as turning the drinker into an ooze.
- Simplicity: If your potion has mechanical bonuses or penalties, keep them straightforward. This ensures they can be easily integrated into Foundry without complicating gameplay.
Judging Criteria
- Creativity: How unique and original is the potion?
- Humor: How funny and entertaining is the effect?
- Balance: Is the potion balanced and not overly powerful?
- Simplicity: Are any mechanical effects easy to understand and implement?
The first two places will be selected by the Game Master, while the 3rd place will be selecting through voting by the community.
Prizes
- 1st Place: 100% Discount on your next session + Alchemist NPC's name + Special badge in the community.
- 2nd Place: 50% Discount on your next session + Special badge in the community.
- 3rd Place: Special badge in the community.
