Description: A pair of bright, effervescent potions that shimmer with a spectrum of colors, resembling a liquid rainbow. They emit a cheerful, bubbly sound and have a sweet, nostalgic aroma. When drank, you feel an unbreakable sense of camaraderie with the person you shared the potion with. The potion comes in pairs, each vial designed to be shared with a friend.
Effect: For the next hour, if two or more individuals have consumed the potion, they can activate its effects by using their reaction to high-five another individual who has also consumed the potion. The individual that uses their reaction can choose ONE of the following effects:
- Immediately gain your class level in temp HP
- Reduce up to 15 damage you take this round
Mechanics:
- The potion must be consumed by at least two people.
- If multiple pairs of the potion are purchased, then the effects can be used with all who are under the effects of the potion
- To activate the effects, use a reaction to high-five another affected individual.
- Can choose either temp HP or damage reduction
Usage: A big part of D&D is teamwork and I feel like this potion will push players to think more strategically about what they can do with their allies. Nothing gets you more pumped to win a fight than a high-five! Also, I'm sure you probably expected me to make a friendship potion...
Notes: Quirko was inspired to create this potion after witnessing a touching moment of camaraderie between two adventurers. He wanted to bottle that feeling of unity and mutual support, creating a potion that encourages teamwork and celebrates the power of friendship.
