Overview
I learned and grew much during my time as a paladin, but I realized that my true calling lay in staying connected to the heart of my community. The work at the community center allowed me to remain grounded and closely connected to the people of the City of Hope. I found that my role as a janitor wasn’t just about cleaning; it was about serving my community in a more personal and impactful way.
Returning to my janitorial work was a choice that allowed me to continue making a difference on a daily basis. I use the skills and values I gained as a paladin to bring integrity and fairness to my work, ensuring that the spaces I maintain are not only clean but also welcoming and just.
My family, including my father, Gareth, who is a blacksmith, and my mother, Elara, who makes jewelry, continues to support me. They are proud of my journey and understand my decision to stay in the City of Hope, where I can have a meaningful impact in the way that suits me best.
Now, even though I am back to being a janitor, I remain committed to the values of Iskar. I find fulfillment in the small acts of service and the difference they make in my community. My work might seem ordinary, but I know that by staying true to my principles, I am making the City of Hope a better place, one day at a time.
Early Life
I was born and raised in the City of Hope, a city that stands as a testament to both architectural brilliance and the complexity of its social fabric. Growing up in the Fargrim District, I worked as a janitor at a community center, a place that served as a hub for local gatherings, workshops, and various events.
Defining Events
The city’s stark contrasts—the opulence of Beryn District and the hardship of Drogath District—shaped my view of the world. I saw the disparities and felt a deep sense of unease about the injustices around me. When I overheard a conversation about a plan to exploit the city’s resources, it became clear that something needed to be done.
Feeling a sense of duty, I prayed to Iskar, the god of crafts, trade, and fairness. His guidance led me to take up the mantle of a paladin. I trained rigorously, embracing the principles of justice, integrity, and protection. It was a profound experience that made me more determined to fight against corruption and protect the innocent.
