Description: The Dream Sellers are a clandestine cult disguised as purveyors of mystical services. Behind their masks, they broker secret pacts between desperate mortals and eldritch patrons, offering powers in exchange for loyalty. Their name stems from the vivid dreams that accompany these pacts—visions of power and impossible bargains.

Size: Small but influential. They operate in scattered cells across ruined cities and caravan routes. Each cell is led by a “Broker” who arranges pacts and manages local cultists.

Alignment: Pragmatic and opportunistic. They justify their work as offering hope to survivors, but ultimately they are beholden to the eldritch patrons they serve.

Goals: In the chaos of the post-apocalyptic era, they aim to spread their network of warlocks. Their leaders hope to awaken or summon the entities behind the pacts, believing these patrons will reshape the world.

Funding: The cult profits by taking a tithe from the powers they broker—favors, relics, or souls. They also trade in black‑market magical artifacts and knowledge.

Key People:

Unknown – leader of the central cell, charismatic and shrouded in mystery; sets policy and coordinates between cells.

Unknown– oracle who interprets the dreams induced by the pacts and guides new recruits.

Unknown – enforcer who protects the cult and ensures warlocks honor their bargains.

Structure: Hierarchical. The central leadership sets overall strategy while local Brokers oversee recruitment and pacts. A network of informants and seers identifies potential clients. The Dream Sellers maintain ties to other factions and present themselves as a legitimate service to hide their cultic nature.

Long‑Term Goals: In the post‑apocalyptic era, they seek to harness the chaos to bring forth their patrons into the material world. They plan to control warlock armies, topple rival organizations, shape civilization to become the chosen intermediaries between mortals and eldritch beings, and expand into remote settlements and salvage ancient lore to strengthen their rituals.
