As a Seer, I can compress raw Essence to create fire. As long as there is a Fair (+2) Essence Aspect I can light a fire the size of a candle, and a Great (+4) or greater one lets me light a fire the size of a hearth. If there is no Essence Aspect, I can drain the essence from a nearby fire to extinguish it.
You can compress raw essence into fire, or drain a flame of essence to extinguish it.
