There is comfort to be found in the service of greater powers. 

1 - Nether Strands

Action

Call forth a number of Nether Strands - living shadows - equal to half your level (rounded up).

Strands form next to you, are intangible and cannot interact with the world, though they can be seen. 

A Strand moves using your Movement and Actions. When it reaches an enemy's melee range, you may freely tether the strand to them, dealing 1d4 damage directly to Health. You can attach multiple Strands to the same enemy, and strands only remain attached until the end of combat, after which they cease to exist. You can never have more than your level in untethered strands at one time.

The melee weapon in your hand acts as a medium with the Nether. Until the end of the round, If it hits an enemy grasped by your Strands, it deals 1d6 damage per Strand.

Until the end of your turn, you can move all your Strands with the same movement and Move Actions.

Bold Action | 1d8 Fog

At any time, Instantly move to an untethered Strand, consuming it in the process. If that puts you in melee range of an enemy,  you can attack it as long as you have enough unsued Actions.
