Cyric (pronounced: /ˈsɪərɪk/ SEER-ik) was the monomaniacal god of lies, trickery, and strife, having previously held dominion over tyranny, murder, lies, death, intrigue, and illusion. He was the unholy radiance that drew power-hungry mortals to their inexorable deaths like moths to a flame, and who murdered Mystra, causing the Spellplague and throwing the cosmos into turmoil in an act that cost him much of his following.
