Many adventurers have ventured into the forest seeking riches, power, or the fabled Manor of the Night Mother, but few have returned, and those that do speak of eerie whispers and shadows that seem to move with a mind of their own.
The forest is inhabited by malevolent creatures loyal to Nyx, including ghouls, Vampires, and Death Giants, all of whom serve to protect the secrets hidden within its depths. The Manor of the Night Mother is said to be hidden deep within the Everdark Forest, but few, if any, have ever seen it. Only the Valekith is known to have succeeded in finding the manor, and he did so only to slay Nyx, exploiting her mortal curse for his own power gain.
The Sunsations, a legendary group of adventurers, also attempted to traverse the Everdark Forest. They successfully crossed through to the northern mountains that concealed the hidden land of Netheril, but they were unable to locate Nyx or her elusive manor. The forest, with its sinister aura and ever-shifting paths, remains a mystery even to the most seasoned adventurers.
To this day, the Everdark Forest is a place of nightmares, where even the bravest souls tread carefully. Those who enter risk being consumed by the forest's malevolence, and the whispers of Nyx's curses are said to follow anyone who dares to cross into its darkened heart.
