Raised alone with the rocky elements in The Barren Badlands, Mal found discovered much of who he was through traveling the desolate expanses of towering pillars of stone. Quickly learning of his natural affinity to earth casting as he was able to mold the earth around him to his will, Mal developed unique arcane talents. Eventually setting out to The Sands of Serrakhan in search of something greater than what hes known for the majority of his life, Mal set out to explore the dune sea that lies to south of his home. Enticed by a rousing speech made by the eccentric Headmaster Altair Emris, within the desert city of Shariz, Mal decided to join the Emris Adventuring Guild. Making friends with The Sunsations and undertaking many perilous adventurers with his newfound compatriots, Mal experienced many new things in his life a School of the Owl adventurer. Upon the fateful day when The Sunsations explored the fabled Temple of the Seven Suns, Mal would meet his untimely demise as he fell into a deep rock chasm beneath the sunken temple as it was collapsing. His memory would not go forgotten, however, as his essence was carried on with his friends within The Sunsations.
