Ashton is an wild hearted and oftentimes aloof Gem Genasi runesmith who is known to travel the expanses of the Northern Greypeak Mountains. After his father and mother abandoned him after increased fears of Orc raids, Ashton grew up a solitary life as a transient craftsman learning under the Gem Genasi of Gemladur. In one of his many travels, Ashton was struck fiercely by a rampaging Unknown which a band of Orcs were attempting to tame. Quickly being beset upon by the Orcs, Ashton was gravely injured and bears a translucent scar atop his head which shows apart of his brain beneath his crystalline skin. Near death, Ashton was rescued by Zephyr Moonstone and nursed back to health in the town of Ore. Through this perilous encounter, Ashton grew resentful of the Orcs of Bhuldur and avoided the settlement whenever possible, while developing a unique relationship with the Urdunnir of Ore.
