Faceless Mask

Runestone of Deceit

Appearing as a wooden or clay mask with genderless features, the mask resembled playwright dolls which were used in theatrical performances within Shariz. The mask could mold its own features to that of any who laid eyes upon it, taking ones identity. If used by a Demon, the mask could go further than just replicate someone, stealing their identity and soul from them. The Faceless mask was initially created by a powerful devil known as Shai'tan or the 'Facestealer' who fled from the Plane of Khaos to the The Sands of Serrakhan after a dispute with Balthazar the Blighted. Shai'tan forged the mask from the embers of one of the Infernal Elements which constructed the mask from his own infernal flesh.
