Highcliffe Castle is the fortress epicenter in the city of Avalon, serving as a seat of power for the Unknown royal family. Inside the castle walls exists the Royal Earth Palace which serves as the head of state, the Stonefist Citadel where the royal family resides, the Temple of Terra devoted to worship of the present avatar, and the Tomb of The Kings where the past regents lay in permanent rest. Upon the founding of Avalon, Highcliffe castle has ruled atop the hill which mounts in the center of the city, giving it the high ground over the rest of the city.
