Tribe of Bloddvergur

Nordvergur Tribe

The Tribe of Bloddvergur, skilled Nordvergur builders and seafarers, descended into desperation and brutality in the wake of the endless perma-frost brought upon by Borealis' corruption. The eternal winter that gripped Norskaand froze the seas surrounding Norska, forced the tribe to abandon much of their craftsmanship and embrace a life of plundering and savage warfare. Turning to the worship of Skorn, the god of wrath and bloodshed, the Bloddvergur tribe has become a terror upon the frozen coastlines, raiding villages and killing without mercy in a bid for survival and strength. It is from this legacy of bloodthirsty plundering that they earned their namesake - Bloddvergur - which translates to "Blood Dwarves" in ancient Unknown

Location and Village

The Bloddvergur Village is built upon the frozen and rocky shoreline of a mountainous island to the east of Norska. Built upon jagged cliffs and partially frozen waters, the village is a testament to the tribe's resilience in the face of eternal winter. Their longhalls and homes are constructed from the bones of great sea creatures and wood from the few remaining frozen forests, while the constant sound of crashing waves echoes through the cold air. Surrounded by treacherous ice flows and bitter winds, the village is as much a stronghold as it is a home.

Worship of Skorn

With the perma-frost strangling their homeland and diminishing their resources, the Bloddvergur tribe embraced Skorn as their patron god, allowing their fury to drive them forward. In the tribe's desperation, the once proud shipwrights and builders became bloodthirsty marauders, their longboats now instruments of war and plunder. They took to the surrounding seas in search of prey, pillaging southern villages and coastal settlements across Norska and beyond, their rage fueled by the teachings of Skorn.

Rituals of Strength

To the Bloddvergur, strength and respect are earned through hunting the deadly Ice Wyrms and Sea Serpents that prowl the frozen waters of the Bay. These massive creatures are considered sacred to the tribe, representing both the untamed fury of winter and the chaotic power of the sea. Young warriors of the tribe prove themselves by hunting these beasts, and the skulls of the Ice Wyrms and Sea Serpents are proudly displayed in the village as symbols of strength and valor. The blood and scales of these creatures are also used in the crafting of weapons and armor, making the Bloddvergur tribe's warriors feared for both their savagery and their resilience in battle.

Plundering Raiders

While they were once skilled craftsmen and traders, the Bloddvergur tribe now serves as a fierce raiding force amongst the Tribes of Khaos. They have become marauders of the highest order, their longboats streaking across the icy waters to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. Known for their speed, brutality, and relentless fury, a host of Bloddvergur warriors is enough to make most sailors and coastal settlers flee in terror. Their plunder is offered to Skorn in bloody rituals, further deepening the tribe’s bond to their dark god.

Legacy

Despite their fall into savagery, the Bloddvergur tribe is still respected among the other Tribes of Chaos for their strength, fearlessness, and unwavering devotion to their gods. Their shipwright skills are highly valued amongst the Tribes of Khaos when united under the banner of a warrior-king, as their longboat fleet is a vital part of Norska’s war machine. However, the tribe's true legacy lies in their embrace of the stormy seas and savage hunts, proving their resilience in the face of Borealis' eternal winter and their unyielding loyalty to Skorn, god of wrath and bloodshed.
