Ancient as Mt. Ylvan itself, Fralskjar the Flame was bound to the primeval volcano by the ethereal magic of The Third Seer, Morai. In Fralskjar's now-distant past, the colossal Fire Giant razed the southlands alongside his infernal brethren under the will of Surtur. In their onslaught, the Fire Giants turned the once tame southland plains into the infernal hell-scape that is the Forlorn Flames of Fyrashan. It was only when the Fyrashan Spirit Seers defeated the rampaging giants that the land began to balance, even if only slightly. Chained to the moat of magma atop the Ylvan volcano, Fralskjar bided his time until he came at odds with the Chosen of Chaos, unholy champions of the ruinous powers sent from Norska. Striking a bargain, Fralsjkar wagered his freedom to help the chosen bring vengeance upon the Unknown city of Unknown which rest upon the southern tundra's beneath the volcano. After the chosen cast Morai into Mt. Ylvan, Fralskjar was freed from his bindings and unleashed a tidal wave of molten earth upon the southlands as he opened great geysers of flame with his sword. Hoisting the chosen atop his shoulders, the united forces of chaos overcame the Fyrashan Spirit Seers and their devious magic. After Cyric fell to his game of fate, the chosen of chaos turned on Fralskjar, gouging his eyes as Pali severed his nape, sending him back to the lava whence he came.
