Vangore, the sixth layer of The Nine Hells, is a place of grandeur and excess. Known as the "Veiled Valleys of the Vain," it is a place where those who have succumbed to pride are sent to be punished for their sins. The landscape of Vangore is dominated by towering mountains of gleaming white marble, carved into grandiose monuments and sculptures that glorify the vanity of the damned. The valleys between these peaks are filled with shimmering pools of crystal-clear water and lush gardens overflowing with blooming flowers and exotic fruit. However, the true nature of Vangore is revealed when the veils that cover the valleys are lifted, revealing the endless array of mirrors that cover the ground. These mirrors reflect the true appearance of the damned, showing their distorted and grotesque forms that reveal the ugliness of their inner vanity. The souls in Vangore are forced to gaze upon their own distorted reflection for eternity, never able to escape their own image or the judgement it brings. The constant reflection is said to drive them mad, turning their vanity into an obsession and causing them to lash out at any who dare to challenge their imagined beauty. The inhabitants of Vangore are led by an archdevil known as the Lady of Mirrors, who revels in the twisted reflections of the damned and delights in their suffering. The Lady of Mirrors is known to offer deals to those who are vain enough to believe they can outsmart her, but her true intention is to add them to her collection of distorted reflections. Those who find themselves in Vangore must beware of the temptations of pride, for it is this sin that brought them to the Veiled Valleys in the first place.
