Sacred Scales Fishery

Fishery

The Sacred Scales Fishery is a bustling hub of activity located in the heart of Hojo's seafood market district. The building itself is a three-story pagoda-style structure, with a massive tuna fish perched atop its roof. The entrance is flanked by two large stone pillars engraved with images of various sea creatures. Inside, the air is filled with the briny scent of the ocean and the bustle of activity as workers sort and prepare the daily catch. The owners, Ochre and Seabreeze, are a warm and welcoming couple who pride themselves on providing the freshest seafood in all of Hojo. Ochre is a large and jovial Tortle, with a broad smile and a hearty laugh. He can often be found overseeing the workers as they unload the daily catch from their boats, and is always happy to chat with customers about the different types of fish and seafood available. Seabreeze, on the other hand, is a more reserved and serious Tortle, with a keen eye for quality and detail. She can often be found in the back of the shop, inspecting the fish and ensuring that only the freshest and most delicious specimens are sold to customers. Despite her serious demeanor, Seabreeze is known to have a soft spot for her nephew Donatello, and will often slip him extra-special cuts of fish when he visits the shop. One of the specialties of the Sacred Scales Fishery is the Shark Jaw Soup, a savory broth made from the jaws of a great shark that Ochre and Seabreeze found on the sea bed. The soup is served in large, steaming bowls and is a favorite among the locals. Another popular dish is the Grilled Octopus, which is served on a bed of rice and seasoned with a secret blend of herbs and spices. As a subsidiary of the Yamaga Corporation, the Sacred Scales Fishery plays an important role in supplying the city with fresh seafood. The daily catch is transported to the Yamaga warehouse where it is distributed throughout the city to various restaurants, markets, and businesses.
