Dr. Dee is a pivotal (and controversial) thought leader amongst several influential senators including Senator Vatha, and acts as the bridge between theoretical (theorex) and applied theurgy (magical workings). Dee argues that the stars and planets were not merely celestial bodies, but geometrically precise mechanisms that projected the energies and influences of the theorex perfect Hylaean Forms onto the mortal world. They must be measured, mapped and understood.
His most famous work, the treatise Monas Hieroglyphica, describes a single, unifying symbol (the Monad Ring) which he believed was a visual key to unlock the universal mathematical and cosmological truths. Dee claims that by contemplating and manipulating this symbol, one may glimpse the very construction principles of the Perfect Halikarnian Forms, essentially offering a shortcut to manipulating reality itself.
