šŸ The Wounded Coil: A Fractured Enchantment

Something has shifted.

The strange behavior among guards, miners, and even civilians has grown more erratic—less robotic obedience, more moments of confusion, hesitation, even fear. Some speak of nightmares thick with hissing whispers, of a serpent that once spoke in harmony, now hissing in discord.

Whatever force was manipulating minds across Camp Dragon is still present… but wounded.

šŸ”® Magical Effects Weakened

You can feel it—the network is damaged, disrupted by some unseen hand. The oppressive hum in the air is less steady now, occasionally stuttering like a misfiring pulse.

  • Dispel Magic or Remove Curse can now suppress the domination on a creature. You surmise it will last for only 10-60 minutes in Camp Dragon, but at the inn, it's fully dispelled.  During that time, the target seems foggy, unsteady, but free.

  • Creatures so freed recall fragments of memory: whispered commands in two overlapping voices, one familiar, one not. Always ending with a phrase that chills the soul: "Return to the coil."

  • Those affected often describe a sensation of losing themselves, as if watching their own bodies act from far away.

āš ļø Warning Signs and Rising Tension

As the enchantment weakens, the perpetrator may now be aware. Whatever power has coiled itself around this place, it will not take this lightly.

šŸ’€ A Ticking Clock and a Brewing Storm

With the Blood Moon rising in the nights ahead, something darker is coming. The enchantment will amplify significantly under its light if left unchecked.

If the remaining anchors are not destroyed in time:

  • The influence may spread, twisting the will of everyone in and surrounding Camp Dragon—including the mines, the town, even the jungle. If there are more statues, it could spread to Seregon.

  • An uprising is likely. Not by revolutionaries, but by the enchanted. Workers, guards, perhaps even trusted allies may rise in unison, their minds not their own.

  • Casualties will be high. Those who resist may be slaughtered by those who do not know they are attacking.

🧭 What You Know

  • The enchantment draws strength from three serpent statues, hidden in plain sight across Camp Dragon.

  • One has been disabled. Two remain.

  • The network is unstable—but growing dangerous in its desperation.

  • Whatever force is behind this knows you’re getting close.

You have limited time to finish what has begun… or Camp Dragon will drown in its own blood beneath the serpent’s shadow.
