After several reports, two teams were deployed in the eastern part of Yukon Ranges and both have failed to report back. A third team is being prepared to be send in the wilderness to investigate and resolve the situation.
The second team was sent in after the first Rift recon team failed to radio back for about two days. Shortly after that, the second team also went radio silent, their last report coming from roughly 50 km north of Shannon Peak.
Since the second team had a member of the Mob with them, Brandon decided to put together a more combat experienced team. With Faith and her Rift resume, alongside Román and Hunter - two experienced wilderness and combat ready soldiers. Together they should be able to handle any threat, environmental or otherwise, that they would encounter.
On the third day hiking, they encountered the torn remains of several people alongside other destroyed camping gear. That night a mysterious girl approached their camp behaving more akin to a wild animal than a person. Faith managed to build some rapport with her, as she offered her food and slept far away from the warmth and light of the campfire.
On the fourth day, after gathering up their camp - the woman most likely leaving during the night, not before stealing Faith's food - they tracked down the blood from the ambush site lower in the valley. It lead them to a narrow cave, where they found another body, more intact this time alongside other baubles such as empty food cans, a broken watch and a weird gold coin. Faith picked up a tape recorder in the cave as well.
Seeing the weather intensify suddenly, Hunter realized there was a mining town close, Tungsten. They managed to arrive at the mining town before the snowstorm complicated their life - only to find everyone dead in the town.
