The Void

After merging the 56 timelines into a single one, Alaric and his friends had to adapt to the new world. Troy's sister, Megan's criminal connections, Sara's family and Elena's deceased father were only some of the changes that occurred. Smaller and yet to be discovered differences plague not only them, but everyone else around them.

Guilt stricken, Alaric goes to New York to make a bold play and gain some allies for his future plans. Gone for a month, he left a threatening note for Vanessa regarding her sister and their common friends. This made her uncle to take Megan on a short trip, while she kept an eye out.

While this was happening, the annual science fare is about to be held at the school, 3 weeks after Homecoming. Sponsored by the Merck corporation, this fare tries to encourage students to put their more inquisitive talents to good use. These events started began to be organized ever since the nearby Goodwill Laboratories opened in Northern Madison, as they are trying to prepare students for laboratory assistant jobs.

As the group got involved with Megan's family, they soon stumbled into Porthos who came to the city ready to settle old grudges. As a result, Samuel got kidnaped, Angel got tortured before they killed his mother and after Troy tried to mount an offensive several more people, from Angel's gang, got killed in the streets after a car chase.

Meanwhile Porthos managed to capture Vanessa, Megan and Sara as he was talked down from engaging in his usual disgusting behavior by Sara. Shortly after this Elena was brought in as well before they took off to one of his safehouses.

Managing to escape, Troy ran in Margot who after figuring out the situation helped him out by rescuing two of his friends and getting a ceasefire agreement. The condition was for them all to attend homecoming, as Porthos would be there as well alongside the sisters.

Troy was upfront with his new friend, as they talked about Alaric and the time travel experience they all went through.

As Margot helped out Troy and his friends, they managed to regroup and attend homecoming in an attempt to not antagonize Porthos even further. Margot planed to use this as an opportunity to kill him, but things grinded to a halt as Megan revealed that he had her uncle and would kill him if they pulled the hit off.

In a desperate attempt to do something Troy told Margot about Blank and the weird scientists, which prompted her to go to them for assistance. They came through and gassed everyone at the party, knocking them out.

Porthos was bound as Megan delivered the killing blow, stabbing him several times before they left to go lay low at her place, as Margot and Troy disposed of the body.

The day after, using the information given by Troy Crimson changes her plans from infiltration to assassination as she planed to lure Alaric and take him out using Blank's abilities. Brokering a deal with MERCK before selling them out to the French assassins, she was able to set up a trap which caught Alaric as Blank's control could take him by surprise and she dragged him into the shadows twisting his organs and body to fit the narrow spaces.

While the MERCK office and laboratories were destroyed, they had one ace up their sleeve left, as they infected the people at homecoming with a certain chemical compound allowing them to expand their research and move on to the next step of the V.O.I.D. project series.

On Sunday of that weekend, after the events with Crimson - Megan, performed a ritual under the guidance of two beings as she opened a portal and breaking out Tiamat from her imprisonment.
