An orphan born in New York. She kept bouncing around different families as her attitude always got her into more troubles. The last family that took her in cared for her and manage to finally help her stabilize her life a bit, dad was a police officer and he was one of her main positive influence during her late teenage years. After dealing with many cases of harassment during her academy days, she finally managed to join the force in 1958 but her problems were only beginning. In the next few years, the pressure from her superiors didn't relent and there were many more cases where she was looked down on due to her heritage.
Like many other cops, she also partook in bribes and other forms of corruption that plagued the NYPD at the time. Eventually she decided to drop out of the force, as the allure of money and power that came in with her criminal life took hold. At 26 she fully quit the force, signing up with the Mob as a full time assassin.
After showcasing her skills at infiltration she was scouted by one of the Mob lieutenants and got inducted into the Stone, as she showed great promise and was willing to go to any length to do the job.
She has an older brother that by the time she was adopted already had left the foster care system, but they never got in touch.
