Codename - Black and White

The original timeline of Troy Tomson, a world drenched in war, where life is short and authentic. One of the timelines Simon Lithe has personally altered, as he planed for his multiversal empire. Starting out with early divergences, he made sure that exploration of the world happened earlier, as during the 14th century the Aztec Empire invaded Europe, causing a world shift as countries scrambled to adapt leading to an overall much more militarized people.

By the time of World War 2, the Nazi war machine managed to defeat the entirety of Europe, parts of Asia and north Africa. Japan managed to conquer most of east Asia, as pockets of resistance would slowly dwindle as prolonged guerilla wars would erupt in the region every so often.

The United States of America, consisting of 216 states, encompassing the entirety of the North and South American continents was the last bastion against the newly formed Empire of Man, as Führer would've named it.

The focus on military development lead to much more advanced technologies, as Simon kept supplying the Axis with Unknown and other cheap power sources, allowing them to increase their manufacturing output. Meanwhile the Allies and their supporters had to scrape by, salvaging and recovering what little they could from fallen enemy troops.

The U.S. in this world is a state forged in war, ever since the first Euro-American Atlantic war in the 15th century. After the fall of the empire and the rise of the republic, the American citizens began defining themselves by their values of freedom, selflessness and their shared cultural values as a strong federal republic took shape in the 19th century.

In the U.S. everyone values 3 major principles: freedom, leading by example and community. Due to the large make-up of the republic, a melting pot of cultures as well as their conflicts with outside threats, the average citizen has learned to hold these principles with an almost religious fervor.

The all American hero concept became a prevalent symbol in the 20th century, as World War I shook the globe. The idea of a selfless soldier, someone who can lead others, who is ready to sacrifice himself, someone who can show grit and determination but also wisdom and patience became integral to the fabric of society at the time.

Another important aspect for the U.S. was the societal structure, as families became a core component in their struggles against tyranny and oppressions. As such promiscuity and any other forms of undecisive behavior were deeply frowned upon, as people would look at those as signs of a weak character. Marriage and divorce became a frequent affair, while a strong communal system was formed to tackle any issues that would arise.

Both men and women were expected to be: honest, responsible, selfless, direct and always strive to improve themselves.

Due to high presence of Duramantium, as well as other alien technologies warfare developed quite rapidly. Mech suits, laser and plasma weaponry, gauss armaments, nukes and autonomous war-machines became a staple of war. Orbital defense systems and other missile tech kept long distance conflicts quite tame, as Point Defense Systems would be able to take down most flying targets.

This lead to an increase in naval warfare, as fleets across the globe would struggle for supremacy. Conventional armies would also be deployed more often, as the presence of EMPs hampered a lot of conventional computing-based technology.

The Nazi Mecha project was meant as a modern answer to that, as militarized sets of large combat mechs would be deployed. Meanwhile the U.S. developed the Super Soldier program, that was designed to be a cheaper alternative relying on highly trained agents that would employ analog fusion powered armaments, bypassing most automated defense systems.

In the decade that Troy Tomson was kidnaped and flung across the multiverse, the Germans achieved total world dominance forming the new Imperium of Man. While guerilla fighters still put up a resistance, most of the large population centers were under the Imperium's control.

Equipped with futuristic weapons, they began preparing for their multiversal conquests.
