A game of Mage Tower takes place in three phases, each of which lasts 20 minutes*

On either side of the field there is a tall (40ft) tower upon which each team's mascot is placed. The objective of the game is to cross the field to the other team's tower, steal their mascot and bring it back to their own team's field to score a point. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins that round. A game is won by winning two out of three matches.

  • Participants can use magic or physical means to steal their opponent's mascot and defend their own.
  • Games are played wearing a device which will instantly teleport any unconscious participants to the medical bay where they will be healed back to their normal state.
  • Players who fall unconscious may not rejoin the game until the beginning of a new match.
  • Players are only allowed to cast damaging** spells on Targets in the same half of the game field.
  • Standard Mage Tower games are played on a 100ft long field.
  • Players begin the game in a line beside their home base and may not break formation until the whistle has been blown to signify the start of the match.
  • Teams are allowed to surrender.
  • If all of the players on a team are rendered unconscious, the other team automatically claims the match.

*This is marked by a specially designed large hourglass that is flipped at the start of the game.

**This includes any spell which would cause physical harm to the participant.
