The Kick-Off Game!

Homecoming marks the beginning of the official Mage Tower season. Although the varsity tournaments don't begin until the spring, homecoming is the start of rigorous training and practice matches for the varsity team as they prepare to take on their school rivals. 

The homecoming match is an exciting game between the varsity team and the winning track team from last years intramural tournament. Despite the lack of stakes, the homecoming game is always intense. The intramural teams have a lot to prove, each member is vying for a position on varsity in their following year. Meanwhile, the varsity team loves the chance to show off their skills in the first public game of the season and their debut as a new team.

Homecoming Royalty

At the end of the Homecoming Dance, students crown a Wildfire and Emberborn Monarch. The Wildfire Monarch is supposed to be a title for a student who "burns hot and quick" by contributing heavily to school spirit, while the Emberborn Monarch is meant to be a student who is a steady presence in the school and has contributed a lot to various activities and events.

The monarchs are determined by a vote by the student population. During the dance, there are ballot boxes for students to cast their votes. 

A Weekend of Fun!

Homecoming at FLAME Academy is a multi-day affair. Beginning with the greatly anticipated Homecoming Dance at Dapplewing Manor on the last Gitera of the month, the events continue throughout the weekend and conclude with the big Mage Tower game on the 50th.
