Half-Elf
Like the term Elf, Half-Elf is a term seldom used by those who, strictly speaking, fit its definition, with only Half-Wood Elves calling themselves Half-Elves. Generally, Half-Elves appear more Elven than Human, (with the exception of the Kystbåren).
Half-Elves have Human and Elven parents, and are technically a stable sub-race. A Half-Elf and a Half-Elf can produce Human, Elven or Half-Elf offspring. A Half-Elf and and Elf will produce an Elven child, and a Half-Elf and Human will produce a Human child. In the event of Elven children coming from Half-Elves, they will most often exhibit the sub-racial traits of their closest Elven ancestor, unless that ancestor is one of the Førstavoss, in which case it is the closest ancestor excluding any of those two sub-races. The same determination of sub-race applies to Half-Elven offspring as well.
The rarest of all of these pairings is the Endelvoss, as these occur independant of the genetic ancestry of the parents. These Half Elves take on subdued traits of the Førstavoss.
