The Castle Duchy
The Castle Duchy is so named for its most famous landmark, the House of the Lords Advocate. Originally part of the Corona Imperii, the Duchy was created in 1150 alongside the founding
of the House of the Lords Advocate. The royal estate was granted to a 'Lord Castell' as a life peerage and converted over the next three years. The Lord Castell is also the Lord Nobilis Judex, the speaker of the House and adjudicator on matters of competency.
Despite its larger size, the Castle Duchy is relatively underdeveloped, much of the land kept wild for game hunting and military drills. The other notable location is the Royal Army complex, Tagcomb Castle which also has its own internal village to help support it. As such, the majority of residents across the Duchy are temporary inhabitants under official employment.
