Sejuri Calendar

2 Bloom, 398 PR (Post Rising) or EF (Era of the Flame)

This calendar is used throughout the Edge Empire and its adjacent territories. The name's origins refer to an older civilization. Still, the average person will know nothing about it and will refer to the dates as something commonplace that has always been there.

The calendar is composed of 9 months of 42 days each, 378 days a year. There are five weekdays throughout the known world. In the Edge Empire, they are, Orday, Harday, Chanday, Enday, and Falday. While unknown to most the days are named after long-forsaken deities, while the fifth day changed its name 200 years ago, to be named after the Everlasting Flame.

Orday. Originally: Order Day, named after the deity of the yellow sun, who was the guardian and preserver of order.

Harday. Originally: Heart Day, named after the deity of the red sun, the keeper of life, fertility, and love.

Chanday. Originally: Change Day, named after the deity of the cyan sun, who was known as the harbinger of change.

Enday. Originally: End Day, named after the deity of the theoretically unseen black sun, who is a force for destruction and entropy.

Falday. Originally: Flame Day, named after the Everlasting sun, roughly 200 years ago.
