Edge Empire Armed Forces, the Obsidian Fangs, include both peace keeping and military forces.
The two sometimes intermingle, and there are some (who dare...) criticize this practice, stating that a combined force tends to view its own citizens and subjects as enemy combatants, leading to it being far more brutal than need be.

The ever-present city watch, keeping a watchful eye on Edge Capital's streets and solving crimes with a firm fist.
Smiling Scorpions:
The clandestine agency operating in the capital's shadows, their true name a mystery, but they are colloquially called the "Smiling Scorpions". Their operations are shrouded in secrecy, their methods unorthodox, and their targets often unaware of their demise or capture until it's too late. They are rumoured to work in tandem with the Arbiters of Will.
Ember Watch:
Colloquially mostly referred to as 'Hounds', the watch is tasked with enforcing the intricate web of Hadeeb indentured servitude, capturing escapees, and maintaining order among the subjugated population. Their presence is a constant reminder of the Empire's fist.

The Empire's military backbone, composed of diverse infantry, aerial units, and specialized divisions:

The stoic infantry, forming the unwavering core of the Empire's ground forces. Their disciplined ranks and unwavering loyalty make them a formidable force on any battlefield.
Harbingers:
Elite shock troops renowned for their unconventional tactics and audacious operations. They strike fear into the hearts of enemies with their unpredictable and ruthless efficiency.
Crimson Vanguard:
Masters of infiltration and sabotage, melting into the shadows and striking at the heart of enemy strongholds with deadly precision.
Clockwork Collective:
Utilizing cutting-edge technology and intricate automatons, they push the boundaries of warfare with their mechanical marvels. Their synchronized advances are both mesmerizing and terrifying.
Shatterguard:
These heavy artillery units unleash earth-shattering bombardments from colossal, armored siege engines. Their thunderous roars herald devastation, leaving landscapes devastated in their wake.
Overwatch:
The Empire's aerial guard, wielding imposing airships and trained aviators. At times the Overwarch operates alongside the civilian enforcement forces, namely the Veiled Fists and the Ember Watch, in extreme or very serious cases, in which case their swift response makes them a dire threat.
