You pick a target in range that you can see, and release illusory energy toward it.  The target must make an intelligence saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 2d12 + your spellcasting modifier Psychic damage. On a successful saving throw, the target recognizes the illusory nature of the bolt and takes no damage.

At Higher Levels. When this spell is cast at 2nd level or higher, the spell deals an additional 1d12 for every spell slot above 1st.
