It is widely believed that Dragonborn are the offspring of dragons and other humanoid races, often humans, resulting from unions that transcend species boundaries. These unions are attributed to the shapeshifting abilities of dragons, enabling them to assume human form and mate with other races. Racial Feat:

  • Ability Score Increase: Dragonborn excel in their physical prowess and innate charisma, Strength score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1
  • Age: They reach maturity at around 15 years and have lifespans similar to humans, living up to 100 years.
  • Alignment: Dragonborn uphold strong values of honor and tradition, typically leaning towards lawful alignments.
  • Size: Dragonborn are taller and heavier than humans, standing around 6 to 7 feet tall with a robust build.
  • Speed: They have a base walking speed of 30 feet.
  • Languages: Dragonborn can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic, paying homage to their ancestry and maintaining a connection to the language of dragons.

Breath Weapon

They can use their action to exhale destructive energy. Their draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When they use their breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by their draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + their Constitution modifier + their proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After they use their breath weapon, they can’t use it again until they complete a short or long rest.
