Tiefling

Humanoid, Cursed

Physical Description:

Tieflings inherit fiendish traits that set them apart from humans. They often bear horns, varying in size and shape, protruding from their foreheads. Some possess tails, while others have leathery or scaled skin. Their eyes might glow with an unnatural color or have a fiendish gleam. These traits manifest uniquely in each tiefling, resulting in a wide array of appearances. Their skin tones can range from human-like hues to deep reds, purples, blues, or even darker shades.

History:

Tieflings' origins are often linked to fiendish pacts, ancestral connections, or even direct unholy unions between humans and fiends. Their existence has sparked various reactions across cultures, from persecution to cautious tolerance, depending on the region and the prevailing religious beliefs.

Society:

Tieflings navigate societies that perceive them with suspicion, fear, or curiosity. Their treatment varies greatly based on cultural, religious, and regional beliefs. In some places, they face persecution, while in others, they can live relatively normal lives.

Tieflings have been known to appear in various regions throughout the world, and their treatment and perception differ depending on the cultural and religious beliefs of the area. In the Silver Dominion, tieflings are often persecuted by members of the Church who view them as "unholy" beings. Some groups even hunt tieflings on the orders of the Church, considering them a threat to the dominion's religious order. In the northern land of Kalamar, tieflings are a rare sight, but they are known to exist. They are generally regarded with caution and suspicion, but they are tolerated to some extent, even amidst the presence of the Silver Dominion Church. In the southern land of Rivermond, tieflings are also viewed with suspicion but are generally tolerated. The presence of the Dominion Church does not result in as severe persecution as in other regions.

In the desert land of the Khein Dynasty, tieflings are relatively uncommon. However, when encountered, they are often perceived as charlatans due to their fiendish traits. They are closely monitored by the zealot priests of the Obsidian Sons, a religious order dedicated to eradicating any perceived threats to their King.

Within the Vache Kingdom, tieflings are able to live relatively normal lives. The kingdom generally tolerates all races as long as its laws are respected. Tieflings in this region can find acceptance and pursue their livelihoods without severe discrimination. In the land of Vikholm, tieflings are rare, but their existence is acknowledged. Notably, one of the members of the ruling Court of Thorns is a powerful tiefling, highlighting their influence and presence within the region. In the Nagan Empire and the Kami Concord, tieflings are uncommon but not entirely unheard of. They are often considered lowborn or outcasts, facing discrimination due to their fiendish heritage.
