Order History

The Obsidian Sons' history dates back to the early days of the Khein Dynasty when Horus, the God King, rose to power. The order was founded by a group of Horus' most devout followers who saw the need for a secretive force to root out traitors and protect the dynasty. The order grew in power and influence over the centuries, expanding their reach and refining their abilities. Their methods are often questioned by outsiders, but their loyalty to the God King is unwavering.

Abilities

The Obsidian Sons are highly skilled in the art of assassination and espionage. They are able to move undetected through the shadows, strike quickly and efficiently, and disappear without a trace. Their members are trained in a variety of combat styles, including hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, archery, and stealth. They also have a deep understanding of poisons and other deadly techniques. They use their abilities to strike at the heart of their enemies, leaving no room for mercy or hesitation.

Hierarchy

At the top of the hierarchy is the Supreme Leader, who has absolute authority over the order. The Guardian is the highest rank attainable through training and is responsible for the Supreme Leader's personal protection. Grand Mentors are responsible for training and guiding members of the order. Great Sentinels are veteran members who are highly skilled in both protection and assassination. Sentinels are members who have completed their pilgrimage and are ready to serve the order. Pilgrims are sent out to track and kill specific targets without being caught. Apprentices are given their first weapons and are trained harshly. Initiates must pass a grueling mental training regime, and recruits are people taken from the streets who have the potential to become Obsidian Sons.

Alkar al-Kadiim, the Supreme Leader of the Obsidian Sons, is a very mysterious figure. He is rarely seen and very little is known about him. Some say he has been alive for centuries and is one of the oldest members of the Order. His reputation as a skilled assassin and his absolute authority over the Order has earned him great fear and respect from those who know of him.

Anubin Doss, one of the Grand Mentors of the Order, is a well-traveled human male. He often journeys across the Dynasty seeking out potential recruits for the Order. He is known for his persuasive speeches and his ability to instill hope in those he speaks to. He is considered one of the most charismatic members of the Order.

Draiven Kaas, another Grand Mentor, is a rare Tiefling within the Khein Dynasty. He is known for his ability to train some of the most skilled killers within the Order. Many of his apprentices have gone on to become some of the Order's most notorious assassins. Kaas is also well-respected for his tactical mind and his ability to think on his feet during missions.

They see themselves as the guardians of the dynasty's history and destiny and will stop at nothing to protect it. They believe in attacking swiftly and without warning, and that their daggers are the course of history. They show no mercy to the faithless, and no remorse to the followers of the jester.

Order Rules

The Obsidian Sons operate with strict rules that all members must adhere to. These rules include absolute loyalty to the God King and the order, secrecy about the order's activities and members, and a commitment to following orders without question. Members are also required to wear ornate masks that conceal their identities, even from other members of the order. Breaking any of these rules can result in severe punishment, including expulsion or even death.

Estates

The Obsidian Sons are known to have several heavily guarded Estates throughout the Khein Dynasty, which serve as their main seats of power. These Estates are integral to the Order's operations and are closely guarded by its members. No one outside of the Order is allowed inside without their approval. These strongholds serve as a reminder of the power and influence of the Obsidian Sons within the Khein Dynasty.
