Guild History
The Guild Mechanica was established during the war of independence against the Nagan Empire, where they were contracted to create war machines and airships. However, after the war, they shifted their focus towards their Kingdom and started to create machines to aid the country. Their reputation quickly grew, and they became the largest guild within the Kingdom, known for their mastery of artifice and their ability to create Warforged.
Abilities
The Guild Mechanica is known for its exceptional skill in creating Warforged, a type of sentient construct that is used for various purposes such as labor, defense, and even companionship. They are also skilled in the creation of various machines, from airships to automatons. Their craft is highly sought after by the Kingdom's nobles and military alike.
Hierarchy
The Forge Overseers are the richest and most skilled members of the Guild. They hold the most power and decide the direction of the guild. Fabricator Knights are those who have proven themselves to be dedicated and talented members of the Guild. They invent and improve the machines that the guild produces. Anvil Apprentices are the rank of those who are learning to become one of the Knights, eager and sometimes reckless in their pursuit of new skills. Cog Serfs are the poorest members of the guild, usually taken in from the streets or purchased from slave markets. They perform menial tasks such as cleaning and aiding other members of the guild.
Haggard Eisenheart is one of the oldest Forge Overseers within the Guild Mechanica, and his long life has given him an unmatched level of expertise in the field of inventing. However, he has become increasingly paranoid in his later years, which has led to some questioning his ability to lead the guild effectively.
Magnadel Hammers, on the other hand, is a dreadfully reckless warlock and inventor who is rumored to have married many wealthy citizens of the Kingdom. There are even whispers that she encases the souls of her former lovers within her servitude machines, making her a feared and controversial figure within the guild.
Alexander Thorns is one of the richest and most famous people within the entire Kingdom, thanks to his many successful inventions that have helped the Kingdom throughout recent decades. He is admired for both his looks and his intelligence, and his contributions to the Guild Mechanica have been invaluable.
Axel Brassheart is a skilled Fabricator Knight known for his ability to create trinkets and small machines that help people in their everyday lives. He is particularly well-known for his handheld clocks and self-serving coffee machine, which have become very popular among the citizens of the Kingdom.
Beliefs & Goals
The Guild Mechanica firmly believes that machines are the future and that they are the key to unlocking humanity's potential. They strive for perfection in their craft and believe that a broken soul benefits no one. Their ultimate goal is to create machines that can serve humanity in every aspect of life.
Guild Rules
The Guild Mechanica has three main rules that all members must follow. The first is that the machines must obey their creators and be kept sealed and bound. The second is that the soul used to create the machine must be pure, as a broken soul will only result in a flawed machine. The third rule is that all members must put their everything into their work and strive for perfection.
