Goblin

Humanoid, Greenskin

Physical Description:

Goblins are diminutive creatures, standing at an average height of around 3 to 4 feet tall. Their appearances vary widely within this small stature. They have small, wiry bodies, long pointed ears, and sharp features. Their skin tones range from shades of green to various shades of brown, while their eyes often gleam with cunning intelligence. Goblins have clawed fingers and toes, which aid in their agility, and their wiry frames enable them to move swiftly and stealthily.

History:

Historically, Goblins were often found among larger Orc clans, assisting with menial tasks due to their lack of combat prowess. They lacked discipline and often fled from confrontations, making them unsuitable for the brutal fighting of Orcish society. Over time, this association led to their reputation as subservient to Orcs and disunited among themselves. They formed their own bands or settlements but remained disorganized, often descending into internal squabbles and mischief.

Society:

Goblin society lacks unity and structure. They tend to organize into small groups or bands, with no overarching leadership. These bands are often temporary alliances formed for a common goal or shared interest. Goblins typically favor cunning and stealth over brute strength, using their wits and resourcefulness to navigate challenges. While historically mischievous and disorganized, some Goblins have adapted to more structured roles in various societies, utilizing their natural cunning for more honest livelihoods.

Racial Names:

Goblin names often consist of short, guttural sounds, and may be accompanied by titles that describe their accomplishments or roles within their temporary groups. Examples include Snikkle, Grizbit, Snaggletooth, or Nimblefingers.
