Spring Blossom Festival

Tournament

Fine people of Rivermond! Spring season is upon us good folk, the celebrations will be held on the outskits north of Rivermond On the Last week of Celha. The festival will be celebrated for four days with two grand events. The first two days will hold a jousting tourney for the bravest Knights in the Realm. So prepare your plate armor, clean your shield and ready your lance! The third day will hold a championship in archery, where anyone in the Realm can enter to showcase their skill with a bow. One the fourth and last day of the Festival the nobility of Rivermond will be hosting two grand feasts, one for the fine people of the Realm and one for the winners of the events.

  • The Joust
    • The first day of the Joust tourney is devoted to a pageant of honour. This is where the willing contenders parade around the tourney field and ask for favours from the nobility. To enter the tourney you must have an able horse and be able to ride. You must provide your own heavy armor, shield and lance. You are required to be of nobility or be sponsored by a noble or granted Knighthood by either a Baron or the Church. All contenders will be inspected by the heralds for possession of any magical items and any misguided individuals found to have such dishonourable items are immediately disqualified in disgrace and struck off the lists. The rest go through to the contests on the second day of the event.
    • The second day is the day of the jousting contests. Pairs of Knights joust with each other in a knockout contest. The pairs are determined by random lots and the heralds will ban personal challenges from friendly tourneys so that Knights cannot use the occasion to pursue personal disputes. Knights who are unhorsed or beaten on lance strikes are knocked out of the tourney, until there is two standing Knights.

  • The Archery
    • On the third day, contenders will be listed for either Longbow or Crossbow. The herald will once again inspect all their possessions for any magical items and tampering of any equipment. Contenders found with such belongings will be disqualified and banned from ever participating in the open championships. The day will start off with the Crossbow group following with the Longbow group. Using the standard Rivermond Target with a secondary Target for extra score points. Each group consists of six contenders, a group gets two rounds where they shoot three arrows pet round, a total of six arrows before counting up the total score. Top three highest scores wins the Archery Championship. Do not distract another archer when they are shooting or you will be removed from the field.
  • The Feast
    • Upon the fourth and final day of the festival, the grand feasts will comense across the Capital streets. A time where we are all equal in the fun we bring and the food we share! Welcome the spring with us!
