Helrud Hillington is a high elf warrior lady who has lived an eventful life filled with battles and adventures. She was born in the town of Rygard in Kalamar. As a child, Helrud was fascinated by the stories of great warriors and heroes who fought to protect their people and their land. She trained hard to become a skilled warrior herself, honing her skills in archery, sword fighting, and horse riding.
In her early adulthood, Helrud left her town to join a group of high elf warriors who were fighting against the forces of the Dominion that threatened the land in the early days of the the Silver Dominion's claim over Kalamar. It was the year 576 during the reign of the last King of Kalamar, King Dagmar Karaheim. She quickly made a name for herself among her peers, becoming known for her courage, skill, and unwavering loyalty to her comrades. She survived turmoil during Kalamar's vassalization by the Silver Dominion. Roughly eight centuries later Helrud met Franklin Hillington, the Earl of Lakegard. The two quickly fell in love and were married soon after. Despite the differences in their backgrounds, Helrud and Franklin were a perfect match, with Helrud's warrior spirit balancing out Franklin's gentle and wise demeanor.
As time passed, Helrud's priorities shifted from her warrior life to her family. She stepped back from active combat to take on a more supportive role as Franklin's wife, providing counsel and assistance when needed. She became a proud and protective mother to their daughter Fanny, who she taught all she knew about the world and its dangers. Despite her age, Helrud still retains her warrior spirit, and she will do whatever it takes to protect her family and her people. Her reputation as a skilled warrior still precedes her, and those who know her know not to cross her or her loved ones.
