The Warzone of Zaaz is a lawless and chaotic place where violence reigns supreme. The battles that take place there are not for any noble cause, but instead for the sheer enjoyment of those who partake. The area was established after the Vache Kingdom won its independence against the Nagan Empire and the wealthy aristocrats of the kingdom were left with a massive debt owed to the sellswords and mercenary groups they had hired during the war. In order to avoid paying out the large sum of gold owed, the aristocrats gathered all the men and women they had hired in the fields of Zaaz and began to incite fights among them, blaming different groups for stealing or not paying what was owed. The chaos that ensued led to the establishment of the Warzone of Zaaz, where people could venture to and fight and kill for the sake of it.
As time went on, the Warzone of Zaaz became a place of entertainment for the people of the Vache Kingdom. The aristocrats built the Iron Colosseum outside of the capital city to provide a more regulated setting for fights and to earn more gold from people's thirst for bloodshed. The fights that take place in the Warzone of Zaaz range from gladiator duels to massive skirmish battles, and they are often to the death. Despite the lawlessness of the Warzone of Zaaz, it has become an integral part of the culture of the Vache Kingdom. The people view it as a way to blow off steam and release their frustrations, and it has even become a source of pride for some. However, the area is still a dangerous place, and those who venture there do so at their own risk.
