They are known for their incredible size, with some specimens growing up to 30 feet in length and weighing up to 10 tons. Their massive claws are capable of crushing rocks and tearing through the hulls of ships. Goliath Crabs are solitary creatures, preferring to carve out dens in the rocky coastlines where they can remain hidden and protected. They are extremely territorial and will fiercely defend their territory from any intruders. They are known to attack ships that come too close to their dens, using their powerful claws to drag sailors into the water.
Despite their fearsome reputation, Goliath Crabs are not mindless beasts. They are intelligent creatures, capable of complex social interactions and problem-solving. They are patient hunters, waiting for the perfect moment to strike their prey. Their favorite prey are fish, dolphins, and other sea creatures that venture too close to their territory.
