Kaga's Imperial Phoenix Bow is a legendary weapon crafted from rare and flexible woods sourced from forests within the Imperial garden of the Nagan Empire. Layered with the bones of a mythical phoenix and strung with hair from Imperial maidens, this bow is lighter and more agile than a standard longbow. Its unusual construction, however, makes it challenging for all but the most skilled archers to wield.
Kaga's Imperial Phoenix Bow is an invaluable relic, its worth beyond mere gold. The bow is considered priceless due to its legendary status and the rarity of its materials.
The Imperial Phoenix Bow has become a legendary weapon after being wielded by the heroic warrior Kaga. Stories tell of her remarkable feats in battle, and it is said that she was buried with the bow upon her death. However, rumors persist that the bow has been rediscovered and now awaits a worthy wielder.
Attunement:
To attune to Kaga's Imperial Phoenix Bow, one must withstand the phoenix magic within the bow. The prospective wielder must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 18. On a failure, they take 2d6 fire damage before being able to use the bow. On a success, the bow grants its power without causing harm.
Special Abilities:
- Phoenix's Grace: While attuned to Kaga's Imperial Phoenix Bow, the wielder gains advantage on all attack rolls made with the bow.
- Phoenix's Resilience: The bow is resistant to damage and decay, never losing its edge or its magical properties, regardless of the passage of time.
- Phoenix Essence: The bow is imbued with the essence of the phoenix, granting it incredible strength and resilience. Attacks made with Kaga's Imperial Phoenix Bow ignore half and three-quarters cover.
- Phoenix's Fury: Once per long rest, the wielder can unleash the bow's Phoenix's Fury ability. When activated, the next arrow fired from the bow ignites with magical flames, dealing an additional 4d6 fire damage on a successful hit. Additionally, any creature hit by the arrow must make a Dexterity saving throw with a DC of 18 or be engulfed in flames, taking an additional 2d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it extinguishes the flames with an action.
