The Amulet of Entry resembles a golden key adorned with an enchanted gemstone. Its intricate design and magical aura make it a highly coveted item among adventurers and thieves alike. This amulet holds the power to unlock almost any barrier, whether mundane or magical. The Amulet of Entry is considered illegal in various establishments and even entire cities. Possession of this item can lead to severe penalties, including imprisonment or fines.
Due to its rare and powerful properties, the Amulet of Entry typically sells for 1,000 to 5,000 gold pieces in the magical item market. However, its illegal status in many places can make it difficult to buy or sell openly.
Rumors abound regarding the origins of the Amulet of Entry. Some say it was crafted by a master locksmith who wished to create a tool that could bypass any lock. Others believe it was the creation of a powerful sorcerer who needed to ensure unrestricted access to the most guarded places. Regardless of its origin, the amulet is highly sought after by those who require entry into restricted areas.
Special Feature:
- Knock Spell: Once per long rest, the wearer can cast the Knock spell without using a spell slot. When casting this spell, the wearer can choose an object within range, such as a door, box, chest, set of manacles, padlock, or another object that prevents access.
- A target held shut by a mundane lock or that is stuck or barred becomes unlocked, unstuck, or unbarred. If the object has multiple locks, only one of them is unlocked.
- If the target is held shut with Arcane Lock, that spell is suppressed for 10 minutes, allowing the target to be opened and shut normally during this time.
- When the spell is cast, a loud knock, audible from as far as 300 feet, emanates from the target object.
