Blade of Valor

Longsword (Requires attunement)

The Blade of Valor is a legendary longsword once wielded by the anointed champions of the Order of the Grail Knights. This order has not been seen for over 300 years, but their sacred equipment have occasionally been discovered in ancient tombs and hidden reliquaries. The blades are highly sought after by collectors and knights in Rivermond, although public acknowledgment of the Order is forbidden by the Dominion Church, which defeated the Order in the year 604. Only 12 of these swords were ever forged, each named and blessed specifically for a chosen champion of the Order. They are imbued with the blessings of the spirits of the Gylder River, which flows through Rivermond.

Due to their legendary status and historical significance, a Blade of Valor is worth between 75,000 and 150,000 gold pieces. The exact value depends on the condition of the blade and the interest of the collector.

The Order of the Grail Knights was renowned for their unwavering dedication to their cause and their extraordinary martial prowess. Each of the 12 Blades of Valor was forged with the essence of the Gylder River and bestowed upon a champion of the Order. These champions were said to be paragons of virtue, embodying the highest ideals of knighthood. The Dominion Church's victory over the Order in 604 led to the dispersal and concealment of these sacred weapons. Today, they are treasured relics, symbols of a lost legacy that some still revere in secret.
