This elegant greatsword has passed through countless hands—knights, lords, adventurers, and even forgotten merchants. The tales tied to it are as varied as the people who held it. In one story, it was a divine gift to a mortal hero; in another, it’s a cursed blade that refuses to be claimed. Brass wings on the guard, and a crimson ruby down its blade. Wherever it turns up, it's never owned for long—only borrowed by fate’s current favorite.
Special Abilities:
- Master Craftmanship. The Winged Blade is a magic weapon that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
- Vampiric Strike. When you deal damage with this weapon, you regain hit points equal to 1d4 + your Constitution modifier once per turn.
- Ember Kiss. When you hit with an attack using this weapon, roll a d6. On a 6, the blade ignites with fire. The target takes an additional 1d8 fire damage, and any flammable objects not being worn or carried ignite.
- Fury Speed. Once on each of your turns when you take the Attack action with Zephyra, you can make one additional melee weapon attack as a bonus action. This attack does not add your Strength modifier to the damage roll.
- Bladed Tempest. Once per short rest, you can use your action to perform a spinning slash in a 10-foot radius. All creatures of your choice in range must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15) or take 3d8 slashing damage, or half on a successful save.
Curse:
The blade hungers. After three days without tasting blood in combat, the wielder suffers 1 level of exhaustion unless they spill the blood of a living creature.
